A Maharashtra-based NGO has pledged Rs 1 crore to develop Amitabh Bachchan's ancestral Babu Patti village in Uttar Pradesh. The project includes roads, sanitation, schools, public parks, gooseberry processing units, and a square named after poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan
Amitabh took to his blog and first expressed gratitude to the Indian armed forces. "Jai Hind Jai Hind Ki Sena", he wrote and also shared a poem by his legendary father Harivansh Rai Bachchan
Amitabh captioned a post: "Tomorrow, August 12, we remember the most beautiful mother of all time. Her strength, warmth, sense of etiquette, and aesthetics, but most of all, her faith and love for all things bright and beautiful for us. Words cannot express more."
"The poet and his poetry...my grandparents. You are sorely missed," she wrote.
Shweta also shared that she found the picture "among a pile of old Polaroids in a desk drawer."
