Kappan was arrested on October 5, 2020 while he was on his way to Hathras, home to the 19-year-old Dalit woman who died after being allegedly gang-raped by four upper-caste men on September 14.
The revelations have been made in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) charge sheet filed against the accused for gang rape and murder in a Hathras court.
The families of the four accused are influential people in the village and the four-five Dalit families in the village want to stay out of 'trouble' and will not support us. There are over 63 upper caste families who do not even talk to us.
A 19-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly raped by four upper-caste men in Hathras on September 14. She died on September 29 at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital during treatment.
It also asked the court to direct the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to submit a fortnightly status report on the investigation to the State government which can be filed by the DGP of UP before the court.
The Union Minister further said, "Rahul Gandhi has always strived to do politics, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been successful in the realm of national policies".
According to party spokesperson Anshu Awasthi, police personnel have been stationed outside Lallu's house here and he is not being allowed to venture outside.
On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi along with several party leaders were detained by the police and sent back to Delhi, after they tried to reach Hathras to meet the family of the Dalit woman.
Narayanasamy had condemned the police action against Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadras as a clear "exposure of the Jungle Raj and Hitler Raj in UP."
