At the UN, India accused Pakistan of “grave” human rights violations in illegally occupied Kashmir, citing civilian killings by its forces. India’s representative Bhavika Mangalanandan dismissed Pakistan’s “hypocrisy,” reaffirming Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as integral parts of India.
The UN is “failing to speak out about the situation in Xinjiang, failing to demand access in a meaningful way and to investigate these very serious and credible allegations.”
