The Hyderabad Bird Atlas has recorded 248 bird species after adding three new species during its fourth survey season. More than 200 volunteers contributed over 1,250 hours, documenting 158 species and over 75,000 birds, reinforcing efforts to monitor urban biodiversity and conservation.
Hyderabad Bird Atlas Season 3 recorded a record 214 bird species and over 76,000 individual birds. The citizen science initiative, supported by volunteers and conservation groups, also tracked changes in Indian Roller sightings. Season 4 is planned for monsoon 2026.
