A total of 600 police officers, including 28 sub-inspectors, 30 inspectors, and two DSPs, were deployed to maintain order during the procession. Additionally, 200 CCTV cameras and four drones were used to monitor the route and track potential troublemakers.
While the city eagerly awaits the main event, many devotees have already begun immersing their idols, with smaller processions filling the streets over the past few days.
About 90,000 idols of Lord Vinayaka are expected to be immersed in Hussain Sagar and numerous other lakes and waterbodies during the 'Nimajjanam' (immersion) process.
