India has deployed a forensic team in Nepal to help identify victims of the devastating flash floods through DNA analysis. The team arrived on the fourth relief flight carrying 11 tonnes of supplies and specialised personnel for Nepal’s disaster response.
India has sent its fourth flight carrying 11 tonnes of relief supplies and technical teams to flood-hit Nepal. The latest assistance includes search-and-rescue and forensic teams, while the NDRRMA said the August 26 floods have claimed 734 lives.
India on Thursday handed over a second consignment of 37.5 tonnes of HADR material, medicines and food packets to Nepal as the country battles devastating floods. The death toll reached 270, while more than 800 people remained uncontactable.
