Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel struck unbeaten half-centuries to share a 112-run stand as India reached 419/6 at lunch on day two of the second Test against Sri Lanka. Pant returned after retiring hurt to help India regain control.
Kuldeep Yadav was ruled out of India's second Test against Sri Lanka as he continues recovering from a viral illness. Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Saransh Jain made his Test debut, becoming India's 320th men's Test player and fifth from Indore.
