An Indian man, Syed Sohailuddin, was allegedly stabbed 15 times inside a shopping mall in West Valley City, Utah, after being asked about his religion. The attacker, Peter Michael Larsen, admitted to targeting him for being Muslim and was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The incident has been condemned as part of rising Islamophobia in the US.
