Electric vehicles make progress in the global car market, increasing their share from roughly 4% in 2020 to 14% in 2022. Nevertheless, internal combustion engine (ICE) cars maintain their dominance in global vehicle sales.
"We believe that e-Two-Wheelers (2Ws) are ready for disruption, particularly urban focused scooters are at risk of faster electrification," MOFSL report said.
The focus should be on moving towards EVs, but also on moving people and not moving vehicles which can be achieved through public transportation and its electrification, said Niti Aayog CEO
