Chakraborty, 73, was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata reportedly after showing symptoms of Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident.

The new research, presented at this year's European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID), appeared in the European Respiratory Journal.

The study found no link between diet and hemorrhagic stroke, which happens when an artery in the brain leaks blood or ruptures.
