Ravindra Jadeja has been named in Saurashtra’s squad for their Ranji Trophy opener against Chhattisgarh on October 11, with Jaydev Unadkat as captain. The team will aim to improve after its group-stage exit last season and begin campaign in Rajkot.
Indian left-armers stole the spotlight on day one of the County Championship. Left-arm spinner Manav Suthar claimed 2/76 on debut for Warwickshire, while veteran pacer Jaydev Unadkat picked up 4/29 to power Sussex into dominance against Glamorgan
We didn't field well and that was the reason maybe a couple of drop catches and a couple of missed fields were the reason why we gave those extra 20-25 runs, Unadkat said in the post-match briefing
“Jaydev will be available for selection for the games against Durham, Leicestershire and Derbyshire as Sussex look to secure promotion to the first division,” Sussex said in a release.
