A Pakistan-based JeM terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces on Thursday, while three of his associates remain trapped in the forested area of the Basantgarh belt
Official sources said the terrorists shot dead on Saturday were affiliated with Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit and included a top commander, Saifullah, who was active in the Chenab valley region for the past one year
The SIA, which was constituted recently with a mandate to investigate crimes connected with terrorism and secessionism, conducted overnight raids to focus on the network of JeM at 10 different locations in various districts of south and central Kashmir.
A top police officer said that two terrorists' bodies are visible and expressed possibility that there could be one more as searches are still underway.
