Aarogyasri health services in Telangana remain suspended for a second day as private hospitals protest against unpaid dues amounting to Rs 1,500 crore. Despite appeals from Aarogyasri officials, the State government has yet to initiate dialogue with the TANHA, which is leading the strike.
Healthcare services under Aarogyasri Health Insurance, the Employee Health Scheme (EHS), and the Journalists Health Scheme (JHS) remain suspended in small and medium-sized hospitals.
Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha sought to know for himself what could be the new modalities for implementing the health scheme in a more useful manner.
