The Puligundala project in Khammam district’s Kanakagiri Reserve Forest is set to open as an eco-tourism destination. With cottages, trekking trails, forest safari, boating and night camping, the site aims to attract nature lovers at affordable prices.
A group of wildlife enthusiasts documents as many as 65 bird species, five mammal species and five fish species in the reserve forest during their exploration
The tank is situated within the Kanakagiri reserve forest block of the Tallada range in the Sathupally division of the district. Spanning 14,422 hectares, the deciduous bamboo forest surrounds the area. It is positioned 11.5 km from Ramakrishnapuram village along the Khammam to Aswaraopet State Highway-42.
