Kendriya Vidyalya Sangathan has directed all Kendriya Vidyalayas to maintain at least one Sanskrit section in Classes 6 and 9 under the third-language framework from the 2026-27 academic session. The move aims to support language choices and facilitate children of transferable employees
The guidelines align with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016. This move follows the Delhi High Court highlighting inconsistencies in the Act's implementation and criticizing organizations like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) for unauthorized actions in identifying posts.
