Security forces in J&K engaged terrorists in Kishtwar while recovering arms and grenades in Poonch. The intensified operations are part of a broader crackdown on terrorists, OGWs, and drug-smuggling networks used to fund militancy in the region.
The encounter began around 11 am when joint search teams from the Army and police confronted the terrorists in the Keshwan forest, located a few kilometers from where the bullet-riddled bodies of VDGs Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar were discovered.
"IndianArmy organised medical and vet camp in remote areas: Chhatru and Shergwari of district Kishtwar. Domestic animals treated and medicines provided," PRO Defence Jammu informed in a series of tweets.
