Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan inaugurated a Kumki elephant training centre at Musalimadugu village in Chittoor district to address the growing human–elephant conflict. Since 2021, elephant attacks have claimed 23 lives and damaged over 4,000 acres of crops in Chittoor and neighbouring districts.
