The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day within minutes of reconvening as the Opposition continued protests demanding an immediate discussion on the Special Intensive Review of electoral rolls. Sloganeering, disruptions, and walkouts marked the second day of the Winter Session.
Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 2 pm amid continued protests by opposition members who demanded a statement from Modi on the violence in Manipur.
The House ran for a few minutes as papers were laid on the table and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
