An alleged insider connection and possible honey trap operation have emerged as key angles in the probe into the theft of firearms and ammunition from the Madras Regiment establishment in Bolarum. Investigators are examining personnel access, communications and financial transactions.
A security breach was reported at the Madras Regiment premises in Bolarum after service weapons and ammunition were found missing from a secured storage room. Police and Army authorities are investigating the theft and examining possible insider involvement.
