Thirteen Bangladeshi fishermen were detained by marine police in Andhra Pradesh’s Srikakulam district after their boat drifted into Indian waters. Stranded at sea for 15 days without food or fuel, they reached Musavanipeta in Etcherla mandal.
Efforts by the Indian Coast Guard and Marine Police to check onshore vendors, warning them not to buy items stolen from ships, have resulted in a drastic drop in high seas robberies.
