Personnel of NDRF, SDRF deployed to carry out search and rescue operations in the worst-affected areas

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday said that the state government is monitoring the situation.

Two of Sangma's cabinet colleagues -- Health Minister AL Hek and Urban Affairs Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar -- were diagnosed with the infection in October.
