The US is searching for a missing pilot after Iran shot down an American warplane during escalating conflict. One crew member was rescued, while another remains unaccounted for, as fighting intensifies and tensions rise across the Middle East.

The Russian-origin MiG-29K jet had taken off from aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya, and went down at around 5 PM on Thursday, officials had said.
