According to Electrek, Tesla has updated its online configurator to push the delivery timeline for new Model 3 Standard Range Plus orders to January 2022, which was previously November 2021.

"Prices increasing due to major supply chain price pressure industry-wide," the CEO tweeted in response to a complaint about the changes.

Musk had said that during the "darkest days" for Tesla Model 3, he wanted to sell the company off.

According to The Verge, more than 36,000 of the tiny cars sold in January compared to nearly 21,500 Model 3s, and the Hong Guang sold just more than 20,000 units in February compared to just under 13,700 Tesla 3s.

The Elon Musk-run company in 2019 launched the Model 3 Standard Range version for $35,000 — delivering on a promise made long ago.
