Taking to Instagram, Mohini posted a brief clip in which she spoke about how she is the age similar to Rahman's daughter. Mohini also wrote a long note criticising "misinformation and baseless assumptions" against her and Rahman
In a voice note shared by her lawyer Vandana Shah, Saira, where she interestingly referred to herself as "Saira Rahman" and shared that she trusts AR Rahman with her life and said that he is “a gem of a person”.
Soon after Rahman's separation with wife Saira Banu, his bassist Mohini Dey announced her separation with her husband. After this internet was rife with speculations and linked A.R. Rahman to Mohini Dey.
Mohini Dey addressed the swirling rumors through an Instagram Story, calling out the “absolute BS” being circulated. She wrote, “I’ve received a huge number of interview requests and know exactly why, but I must respectfully decline them all. I refuse to fuel ABSOLUTE BS. My energy is not worth wasting on RUMOURS. Please respect my privacy (sic).”
A.R. Rahman has been linked to his bassist Mohini Dey, who announced her separation from husband Mark Harsuch just a day after Rahman's similar announcement.
