A murder accused escaped from police custody in Asifabad on Tuesday night. The suspect, who killed a villager over sorcery suspicions, fled during interrogation. Police have launched special teams to trace him as residents fear for their safety.
An FIR was lodged against him at Bhiwani City Police Station in Maharashtra’s Thane district under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 302 (murder), 363 (kidnapping), 387 (extortion), 397 (robbery), 120B (criminal conspiracy), and 34 (common intention).
