GMR Airports Limited has formally taken over operations of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, on June 25, adding the facility to its growing portfolio. With nine airports now under operation or development, the company aims to position Nagpur as a key aviation and cargo hub.
A British Airways flight from London to Hyderabad was diverted to Nagpur early Tuesday due to poor weather conditions and low visibility in Hyderabad. Officials confirmed the diversion occurred around 5.30 am after the plane landed at Nagpur.
