Indian equity benchmarks opened lower on Tuesday as elevated crude prices and selling in IT and auto stocks weighed on sentiment amid fears of a possible US Fed rate hike. Sensex slipped over 150 points to 75,970, while Nifty fell 36 points to 23,743.
Domestic equity benchmarks opened flat on Thursday as gains in IT and pharma stocks were offset by weakness in banking and realty. Sensex slipped 15 points to 77,638, while Nifty edged down less than a point to 24,249.
