South Korean rescue teams are searching for nine crew members after a Chinese fishing boat capsized off the southwestern coast near Gunsan. Two crew were rescued. The incident follows another capsizing near Gageo island that killed at least two.
The role of OPVs includes coastal and offshore patrolling, policing maritime zones of India, control and surveillance, anti-smuggling and anti-piracy operations with limited wartime roles.
