Frech became the fourth Polish woman this century to win a singles title, joining Magda Linette, Agnieszka Radwanska, and world No. 1 Iga Swiatek. After reaching her first WTA singles final in Prague last July, the Guadalajara Open marked her debut WTA 500 final and her first on hard courts.
Standing in her way is Poland's No. 5 seed Magdalena Frech, who secured her spot in the final with a determined performance against No. 4 seed Caroline Garcia. Frech fought back in both sets, winning 7-6(4), 7-5, to reach her second WTA final of the year.
