South Central Railway has introduced Aadhaar-based OTP verification for Tatkal ticket bookings on 13 major trains. Passengers must enter an OTP sent to their Aadhaar-linked phone number, helping prevent bulk bookings and ensuring fair access to high-demand tickets.
Referring to reports appearing in a section of media and social media platforms, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu stressed that no bank details and no OTP was asked by officials from applicants during the Praja Palana programme.
