Severe cold weather in Karimnagar has affected both mango orchards and paddy seedlings, with farmers reporting stunted growth despite the use of fertilisers and pesticides. Seedlings that usually grow within 25–35 days have failed to mature even after 45 days in the current Yasangi season.
In a unique experiential learning initiative, students from Zilla Parishad High School in Odyaram participated in paddy plantation activities, gaining firsthand knowledge of farming practices. This initiative was designed to promote practical learning, instill values such as teamwork and responsibility, and help students appreciate the hard work of farmers.
