Diesel sales fall in September, petrol consumption up
Month-on-month sales were up 0.9 per cent, when compared with 2.7 million tonnes of diesel consumed in the first half of August.
Petrol, diesel sales drop 17% in May on COVID-19 lockdowns
While the consumption of petrol was almost 13 per cent higher than demand in May 2020, it was 28 per cent lower than pre-COVID levels of 2.49 million tonne.
Fuel price rise impacts consumption in India
Petrol sales, on the other hand, fell 6.5 per cent to 2.44 million tonnes in February and by about 3 per cent from a year earlier.
