Severe flooding in Tharali, Chamoli (Uttarakhand) has left two people missing after heavy rain caused debris and roadblocks. Schools are closed, and national and local highways remain shut as rescue operations continue amid flood-like conditions near the Pindar River.
One person died in a landslide in Pauri district on Wednesday while water levels of the Pindar river and its tributary Pranmati in Chamoli district rose again.
