India is witnessing a steady uptick in the usage of podcast entertainment over the last few years.

Sound Up is a global programme created to identify underrepresented communities, and enables participants to hone their podcast skills through training, mentoring, workshops, and full-program support provided by the audio streaming platform.

The social media network is also likely to add a new feature that will allow listeners to create clips from their favourite shows.

Apple had earlier said that it will launch Podcasts Subscriptions and channels in June to "ensure the best experience for creators and listeners."

By linking to Apple Podcasts as an affiliate via the new ‘Apple Services Performance Partner Programme', creators can earn a one-time payment of 50 per cent on the first paid month of every subscription membership they drive on a 30-day cookie window.

Priced at Rs 18,900, the new Apple TV 4K will be available at apple.com, Apple Store app, and Apple Store locations.
