As per Variety, Instagram, in a blog post, said it will not "proactively recommend" political content from accounts that users do not already follow.
The same policy is also applied to Threads, the Twitter-like app launched last summer under the Instagram brand.
Most of the content people see there, even in an election season, is not about politics. This includes posts from friends or from Pages, according to Alex Schultz, VP of Analytics and Chief Marketing Officer.
