India’s Preeti Pawar and Deepak began their Asian Boxing Championships 2026 campaign with impressive wins in Mongolia. Preeti secured a unanimous decision victory, while Deepak edged a close bout, giving India a perfect start in the opening phase.
The 20-year-old southpaw from Bhiwani, Haryana, defeated Vietnam’s Vo Thi Kim Anh 5-0 in the Round of 32 at North Paris Arena. Next, she will face Colombian second seed Yeni Arias.
