The shifting was necessary for the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the custodian of the temple, to carry out conservation work inside the inner chamber.
The Ratna Bhandar, the revered treasury of the 12th-century Jagannath temple in Puri, was reopened on Sunday after 46 years for an inventory of valuables and the repair of its structure, officials said.
The collector further informed that the managing committee has also given the opinion that a technical team comprises representatives from the ASI, managing committee, Sevayats, temple administration engineers.
