BRS leaders T Harish Rao and S Niranjan Reddy slammed the Congress government for holding Rythu Panduga celebrations without fulfilling farmer promises. They demanded an apology and accused the ruling party of betraying farmers with reduced aid and unfulfilled guarantees.
Alleging that the claims made by the Chief Minister were false and far from reality, Harish Rao said the Congress government failed to fulfil promises made to farmers of the State
In a statement issued on Saturday, Niranjan Reddy criticized the "Rythu Panduga" event held in Mahabubnagar district, claiming it seemed more like an attempt to intimidate farmers than a celebration. "The meeting appeared to be aimed at threatening the farmers of the State for not surrendering their lands in Kodangal, under the guise of a farmers' festival. The Chief Minister's tone suggested he might forcibly take the farmers' lands," he alleged.
Are you celebrating for successfully misleading farmers? Not a single promise from the Warangal Rythu Declaration has been fulfilled," he said. Instead, he stated that 563 farmers had lost their lives in the past year due to the Congress government's inept policies.
