Superintendent of Police, Meerut City, Ayush Vikram Singh stated that the investigation into the motive behind the murder is ongoing, and the minor girl may provide crucial insights into the events leading up to the brutal killing of Saurabh Rajput on March 4 by his wife, Muskaan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla.
Police revealed that on March 4, Saurabh was drugged, killed, and dismembered into 15 pieces. His remains were then placed in a drum and sealed with cement for later disposal. That night, Muskaan laced Saurabh’s food with sleeping pills. Once he lost consciousness, she and Sahil fatally stabbed him before cutting his body into 15 pieces.
