A political controversy has erupted over the full singing of Vande Mataram, with BJP leaders defending the move and calling objections condemnable, while the Samajwadi Party said it respects the national song and has no opposition to it
"Opposition brought the Hijab issue into elections. This rule (for uniform) was formed in Karnataka, and people did this (row) in reply. But I think, a law should be made to ban (wearing of) hijab across the country," the BJP leader said.
