Three Indian-flagged crude oil tankers — Desh Vaibhav, Desh Vibhor, and Sanmar Herald — carrying over 8.6 lakh metric tonnes of cargo with 94 crew members successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.
India has strongly denied reports that its vessels paid cash or cryptocurrency to Iran for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification follows an April 18 incident where two Indian ships, including the Sanmar Herald, came under fire from Iranian forces and were forced to turn back.
