PV Sindhu and the doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty advanced to the Thailand Open quarter-finals with convincing wins in Bangkok. Sindhu will next face world champion Akane Yamaguchi, while Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth also progressed strongly.

The Indian duo defeated Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin 21-16, 16-21, 27-25 in the Group A game at the Musashino Forest Plaza Court 3.
