The Delhi chief minister on Tuesday called for cancelling all air services with Singapore with immediate effect.

Delhi recorded 2,463 new COVID-19 cases and 50 fatalities on Wednesday, the lowest number of deaths in a single day since November 1.

The total number of cases has climbed to 4,89,202, while the recovery rate stood at over 90 per cent.

Delhi has witnessed a spurt in coronavirus cases since October 28 when the daily rise breached the 5,000-mark for the first time and it crossed the 8,000-mark on Wednesday.

On Friday, Delhi recorded over 7,000 COVID-19 cases for the first time.
