A hauler operator was injured in SCCL's RK New Tech underground mine at Srirampur in Mancherial district after a drum struck a motor and then hit him. He was hospitalised and is stable. Coal miners later raised concerns over workplace safety.

A retired SCCL employee, Janga Odelu, bitten by a Russell’s viper, killed the snake and rushed to Kothagudem hospital for treatment.
