Separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah was arrested by the National Investigation Agency in connection with a 1996 terror case and remanded to 10 days of custody by a special court in Jammu. The arrest comes weeks after his release following nearly seven years of imprisonment in other cases.
The Supreme Court has granted bail to Kashmiri separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah in a terror funding case, noting his prolonged incarceration and slow trial progress. Shah, arrested by the NIA in 2019, had challenged the Delhi High Court’s rejection of his bail plea.
