Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met IAEA chief Rafael Grossi in New York, discussing nuclear cooperation, sanctions pressures, and diplomatic solutions as tensions rise following snapback moves by European powers.
In a phone call on Friday, the two sides discussed threats by France, Britain and Germany, collectively known as the E3, to reinstate international sanctions on Iran on the verge of the expiration of the UN Security Council Resolution 2231, said a statement released by the Iranian foreign ministry early on Saturday.
A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that Araghchi briefed Hussein on the latest developments in the Iran-US negotiations, describing the talks as proceeding "well."
