The petitioner also requested the apex court to direct the media to desist from reporting on criminal proceedings, to prevent further shaming and embarrassment for the 72-year-old victim and the perpetrator.

Additional Sessions Judge of the Patiala House Courts, Harjyot Singh Bhalla adjourned the matter after the woman's advocate Ankur Mahindro informed the court that he has not been handed a copy of the bail plea.

"Accused, instead of being remorseful for the utterly disgusting act committed by him, has adopted a campaign of spreading misinformation and falsities with the intent of further harassing the Victim."

Mishra, a resident of Mumbai, will be produced before the court possibly after 2 p.m., sources said.

Accused Shankar Mishra in IGIA case has been arrested from Bengaluru by a Delhi Police team. He has been brought to Delhi and further investigation into the case is in progress.

Meanwhile, two teams of Delhi Police are on the lookout for Mishra, who is continuously changing his location to evade arrest.
