The Amarnath Yatra was suspended from Jammu on Saturday as the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained closed for the second consecutive day due to heavy rain. Restoration work continues while authorities have shifted Yatra registration facilities to the Bhagwati Nagar base camp.
The annual Amarnath Yatra will begin on July 3 and conclude on August 28, lasting 57 days, said Manoj Sinha. Registration starts April 15 via banks and online, with pilgrims aged 13–70 allowed to undertake the journey
