After over a month of dry weather, several parts of Hyderabad and neighbouring areas received moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms on Friday evening, bringing relief from prevailing conditions. The showers, however, led to traffic congestion across key stretches of the city during peak evening hours, with Thorrur, Medipally and Hayathnagar recording the highest rainfall.
