According to figures compiled by the SIAM, India’s car exports to Japan jumped to $616.45 million in the first nine months of 2024-25, which represents a close to 3-fold jump over the $220.62 million worth exports in full financial year of 2023-24
In April-January, passenger vehicle shipments were still down by 43.1 per cent at 3,28,360 units as against 5,77,036 units in the same period of 2019-20 financial year.
As per the latest data by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), two-wheeler dispatches to dealers also rose 6.63 per cent to 14,29,928 units, compared to 13,41,005 units in January 2020.
